FAQ

What is Chulair?

Chulair is an AI fashion social network. You upload photos of your clothes, the AI recognizes each garment separately and builds outfits with them; you can try those outfits on a photo of yourself, publish them in a public showroom and find any garment in real stores in your country.

Does it work with my own clothes or only a store catalogue?

With your own, and that's the main difference. The AI identifies the garments in the photos you upload and works with your real wardrobe; you can also try on pieces other people have published in the community showroom.

Can I try clothes on using a photo of myself?

Yes. You upload a photo of yourself, pick the garments and the AI composes an image of how the outfit would look on you. It needs an account and that photo: nothing can be tried on in guest mode.

Is it free? Do I need a card?

Creating your account, uploading your clothes, building outfits and trying them on is free, and no card is asked for. Chulair earns money when someone buys a garment at the store we link to, not by charging for the app.

Can I see Chulair without signing up?

Yes. The «take a look» mode gets in without signing up and lets you explore the community showroom and search for garments in stores. Uploading clothes, trying them on or publishing does require an account.

What happens to the photos I upload?

Your looks and garments stay private until you choose to publish them: nobody else sees them when you upload. The photo you use to try clothes on is only used to generate those images, is stored in your account and you can delete it whenever you want. Deleting your account erases everything, images included.

Where does Chulair look for the garments?

In your country's stores. The AI writes a description of each garment and uses it to search the chains in your market: Amazon, Zara, H&M, Zalando, Nordstrom, Liverpool, Mercado Libre, Musinsa and many more depending on where you are. Links go to the store; in some countries they are affiliate links, and the page says so.

Which countries does it work in?

In 35 markets across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania, and the list grows in waves. The app is translated into 15 languages. If your country isn't open yet, you can join the waitlist and we'll email you when it is.

How is it different from a store's virtual try-on?

A store's try-on only lets you try that store's clothes. Chulair starts from your own wardrobe and from the community showroom, and then shows you where to buy across several stores at once. You supply the photo, not a model.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes, for Android on Google Play and for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. It also works in the browser, and you can install it as an app from there.
