How your closet gets digitized, step by step

The difference from classic closet apps is the input: you don't photograph garments one by one or tag anything by hand.

• Upload a photo of an outfit you're wearing — any mirror photo works — or a photo of a single garment on the bed or a hanger.
• The AI recognises each garment, separates it and gives it its own clean product photo, like a store's.
• Every garment gets catalogued by type and colour, and your looks by occasion and season: filters like «blue dresses» or «work looks» just work.
• Repeat with the photos already on your camera roll. Within days, your whole closet fits in your pocket.

To keep the analysis fast for everyone there's a generous daily cap — five outfits and ten single garments — designed so digitizing your closet takes a few relaxed days rather than one marathon afternoon.

What the closet can do once it's digital

A digital closet that's just a list changes nothing. Chulair's is wired into the rest of the app:

• Try combinations on a photo of yourself: pick garments — yours or the community's — and the AI dresses you keeping your face and your pose.
• Find any garment in real stores in your country: Chulair works in 35 markets and links each one's chains (Zara, H&M, Amazon, Zalando, Nordstrom, Mercado Libre and the local ones).
• Publish your looks to the showroom if you want to share them: by default your whole closet is private.
• Get «Today's look»: every morning, at the time you choose, an outfit built from your own garments for the season — and, if you share your location, for the weather in your city. It needs about eight garments to get going.

What it does well, and what it doesn't

So you know what to expect before signing up:

• Cataloguing is automatic: the type, colour and name of each garment are the AI's call. It's right most of the time; occasionally it names a garment its own way.
• There's no button that generates endless outfits from your closet: combining and trying on is up to you. The exception is «Today's look», a single suggestion each morning.
• Accessories (bags, necklaces, glasses) are recognised and searched in stores, but for now they aren't dressed in the try-on.
• You need an account: the no-sign-up tour shows the community showroom and the stores, but a closet is yours. And it's private: nothing you upload is visible until you publish it.
• It's free, with no cap on total garments and no paid tiers. Chulair is funded by the commission some stores pay when you buy through their links.

Tips for a closet that actually helps

Start with the clothes you wear most, not the ones at the back: the closet is useful from the first ten garments — you don't need to finish to begin. Use sharp photos with the clothes clearly visible — the AI crops best what it sees best, and a well-cropped garment also tries on better. An outfit being worn works better than a pile on the bed: one garment per hanger, or one look per photo. And don't delete off-season looks: when the season turns, «Today's look» and the filters will reach for them.
